Pool builders look like ideal agency clients. The tickets are large, the owners understand that marketing drives the business, and a good season makes everyone look smart. The trouble arrives in fall. Leads slow, the owner wonders why they are still paying, and the account gets paused right when next year's backlog should be getting sold. Add a sale that takes weeks to close, a word like pool that drags in chemical shoppers and above ground buyers, and ad copy that touches licensing and financing rules, and you have a vertical that rewards specialists and punishes templates. We run Google Ads and Local Services Ads for pool builders and remodelers under your agency's brand, so you can serve these clients well without building the expertise from scratch.

1What Makes Pool Accounts Different

  • The client calendar fights the buying calendar. Owners feel busy in summer and quiet in winter, while the best time to sell next season's builds is often fall and winter.
  • One account holds three businesses. New construction, remodeling and service need separate campaigns, and a template account blends them together.
  • The sale is long. New pool contracts can take weeks or months after the first click, so monthly lead reports understate what the account is doing.
  • Search terms are messy. Pool supplies, above ground pools, pool tables and public swim hours all show up without a solid negative list.
  • Ad copy has legal edges. License number rules and financing disclosure requirements apply to many pool company ads.
  • Client capacity changes fast. A builder can go from hungry to booked a season out in a few weeks, and the account has to adjust.
?
Question to AnswerWhen your last home improvement client paused their ads, was it because the account stopped working, or because nobody explained what the slow months were for?

The upside is real. Pool builders who see their backlog fill during the off-season tend to stay for years, and they talk to suppliers, landscapers and other builders who may need the same help.

Remodel-focused pool companies are often the easiest place to start. The sale is shorter, the trigger is clear, and results show up faster, which gives you a win to point to before a new construction client asks about the off-season.

2How White Label Works

  • You own the client relationship. Contracts, billing, meetings and strategy calls stay with you.
  • We do the account work. Structure, keywords, negatives, ad copy for your approval, bids, tracking and ongoing optimization.
  • Everything carries your branding. Reports, seasonal plans and audit documents arrive ready to send under your name.
  • We stay invisible unless you choose otherwise. Some agencies bring us onto a planning call as a technical specialist, while most keep us behind the scenes.
  • You set your price. We invoice you, and what you charge the pool builder is your decision.
  • No long-term lock-in. If a client leaves, our work on that account ends with them.

Most agencies find this setup lets them say yes to pool builders without hiring a specialist. You keep the relationship and the margin, and the client gets an account built by people who manage this kind of work every day.

3What We Build in a Pool Account

  • Campaigns split by segment. Concrete, fiberglass and vinyl new construction, remodel and resurfacing, and branded terms, each with its own budget.
  • A negative list in place before launch. Supplies, chemicals, above ground, inflatable, pool tables, jobs, DIY and service work the builder does not want.
  • Local Services Ads where eligible. Set up and managed alongside Search, with leads tracked separately.
  • An off-season design campaign. Planned for fall and winter, so the client's spring schedule fills early.
  • Conversion tracking to consultations. Calls and consultation requests as primary actions, with map views and clicks kept secondary.
  • Offline import of signed contracts. So bidding learns which searches produce pools, not just form fills.
  • Long conversion windows. Matched to how long pool contracts actually take to sign.

The structure follows what worked in our own pool remodeling case study, where a Southwest Florida remodeler paired a dedicated Search campaign with Local Services Ads and local campaigns and counted only calls and quote requests as leads.

We also build the account so you can explain it. Every campaign has a clear purpose, every budget line maps to a segment, and the naming is simple enough that you can walk a client through it on a call without us in the room.

4The Seasonal Plan You Will Sell

The most valuable thing you can give a pool client is a written plan for the year, agreed before the slow months arrive. It is also what keeps the account from being paused in October.

  1. Agree the calendar at the start. Show the client how budget moves across the year by segment, and why fall and winter matter.
  2. Set off-season success measures. Design consultations booked and contracts signed for spring starts, not lead volume compared to June.
  3. Plan the remodel push. Late winter budget for resurfacing and renovation, when owners want their pool ready for summer.
  4. Agree what happens when the schedule fills. Shift budget toward remodels or next season rather than turning everything off.
  5. Review the plan quarterly. Adjust for capacity, permits, weather and results.

The plan is also your best defense in the fall review meeting. When the owner asks why leads are down in November, you can point to a calendar they agreed to in spring that said November is for design consultations, and show how many were booked.

5Licensing, Financing and Ad Copy

This is where an agency can create real exposure for a pool builder client without realizing it.

  • License numbers in ads. Florida and California, among other states, require contractor license numbers in advertising, and we flag where they need to appear.
  • Financing language. Stating a monthly payment or rate can trigger federal Truth in Lending disclosure requirements, so financing copy goes to the client's lender and counsel for approval.
  • Warranty claims. Warranty copy has to match the actual shell, surface and equipment warranty documents.
  • Manufacturer dealer rules. Fiberglass manufacturers may have rules about how authorized dealers use their brand names in ads.
  • Timeline promises. Copy that promises a fixed completion date can create problems when permits run long, so we write around booking windows instead.
  • Written approval on sensitive copy. Documented and dated, which protects you and your client.

We do not give legal advice and we do not ask you to. The job is to spot the copy that needs a second look, route it to the people who can approve it, and keep a record of that approval in the account notes.

6Reporting a Pool Builder Will Read

  • Lead counts by segment. New construction, remodel and service shown separately so the owner sees what matters to them.
  • Consultations and contracts. The numbers owners care about, pulled from their CRM or reported by the sales team.
  • Cost per signed contract. Judged against average project value, which makes a high cost per lead easier to explain.
  • Seasonal context in every report. A note on where the month sits in the yearly plan, so a quiet December reads as planned rather than broken.
  • Search terms highlights. A short list of junk queries blocked and new opportunities found.
  • Plain language commentary. What happened, why, and what changes next month, written for an owner, not a marketer.

Keep in mind that many pool builders do not have a CRM. A simple monthly spreadsheet from the office, listing consultations held and contracts signed with the lead source, is enough to report on what matters, and we can build the report around it.

7Setting Expectations Before You Sign

  • Confirm the client knows their segments. Which work they want more of and which they would rather not get.
  • Set a realistic budget. Pool clicks are expensive, and we recommend at least a $3,000 minimum monthly ad budget for meaningful data.
  • Explain the sale lag. Leads in one month often sign in a later month, and the first season is partly about building the pipeline.
  • Ask about capacity. How many designs and builds the company can take on, and how far out the schedule already runs.
  • Confirm tracking access. Call tracking, CRM access or a simple monthly contract report are needed to measure what matters.
?
Question to AnswerBefore you sign your next pool builder, do you know how many projects they can take on this year and which segment they want to grow?

These conversations are easier before the contract than after the first quiet month. A pool builder who heard about the sale lag and the seasonal plan in the pitch is far more patient when the numbers dip than one who is hearing it for the first time in November.

8Pricing and Margin

  • White label management starts at $500 per month. That covers account management for a pool builder account under your brand.
  • Ad spend is separate. Paid by the client directly to Google, with the minimum monthly ad budget set to give the account enough data.
  • You set your markup. Many agencies bundle Google Ads with web, SEO or social services for pool clients.
  • No long-term contracts on our side. If a client leaves, you are not paying for an account you no longer run.

For agencies with several pool or outdoor living clients, consistency across accounts is a benefit in itself. The same structure, naming and reporting make it easier for your team to understand every account at a glance.

Ask us for a sample report and a sample seasonal plan before you quote your first pool client, so you know exactly what you are reselling.

9Getting Started

  1. Introductory call. We talk through your agency, your pool clients and how you like to work.
  2. Account review. If the client has an existing account, we audit it and send findings in your branding.
  3. Build and seasonal plan. Campaign structure, negatives, tracking and a yearly calendar prepared for your approval.
  4. Launch. Campaigns go live once you and your client approve the copy and tracking.
  5. Ongoing management. Weekly optimization, monthly branded reports, and quarterly plan reviews.

Most agencies start with one pool client to see how the partnership works, then add others once the process feels comfortable. Either way, there is no long-term contract on our side.

In Summary

Pool builders make strong agency clients when the account is built for how they sell: separate segments, a solid negative list, and a seasonal plan that keeps spending through the months when next year's work is signed.

We run the account work under your brand, flag license and financing copy for client approval, and report on consultations and contracts with seasonal context an owner can follow.

Set expectations before you sign, including budget, the lag between lead and contract, and capacity, so a quiet December reads as part of the plan.
