PPC Advertising Industries We Work With
Surfside PPC manages Google Ads, Meta Ads, and Local Services Ads for home service companies, medical practices, law firms, ecommerce brands, and B2B companies across the United States. Every industry below has a dedicated page covering how we structure campaigns, which channels we run, and what results you should expect.
PPC advertising works differently in every industry, which is why we do not run the same playbook across all of them. A plumber needs to appear at the top of a search at 11pm when a pipe bursts. An orthopedic surgeon needs to be found six weeks into somebody researching a knee replacement. An ecommerce brand needs a product feed and a return on ad spend target. Those are three different channel mixes, three different budgets, and three different definitions of a conversion. This page covers every industry we work with, which paid channels we run for each one, and what changes between them. Whether you are looking for a Google Ads agency, a Meta Ads agency, or full PPC management across both, start with your industry below.

1What PPC Advertising Covers
PPC advertising is any paid channel where you pay per click, per lead, or per result. For most of the businesses we work with, that means three channels working together rather than one in isolation.
- Google Ads. Search campaigns capture demand that already exists. Somebody types what they need and your ad appears. This is the highest-intent channel available and it is where most of our clients start. Read our complete Google Ads guide for how the platform works.
- Meta Ads. Facebook and Instagram reach people before they search. For elective medical procedures, med spas, and consumer brands, Meta creates demand that Google then captures. See our Meta Ads management services.
- Local Services Ads. Pay-per-lead placements with the Google Verified badge that sit above everything else for local service searches. For plumbers, HVAC companies, roofers, and attorneys, LSAs are frequently the single highest-intent placement available.
The mix depends entirely on your industry. A tree service running only Meta Ads is spending money on people who do not currently have a fallen tree. A med spa running only Google Ads is missing everybody who did not know the treatment existed. Getting the mix right matters more than optimizing any one channel.
Our full breakdown of PPC advertising covers how these channels compare, and our pay-per-click advertising services page covers how we manage them together.
2Home Services and Trades
Home service customers do not shop around for long. When a pipe bursts or a tree comes down, they call one of the first companies they see. That makes Google Ads and Local Services Ads the primary channels, and it makes response speed part of your advertising performance rather than a separate operational issue.
We build campaigns around emergency intent first, then expand into planned work like replacements and installations once the emergency campaigns are producing. Every account gets call tracking, because these industries convert on the phone rather than through a form.
Home Service PPC Advertising
If you run a tree service, our post on how tree service companies get more leads and calls walks through the exact campaign structure we use.
3Medical and Healthcare Practices
Healthcare is the deepest part of what we do, and it is also the most restricted. Health is a sensitive category under Google's personalized advertising policy, which means remarketing and audience targeting built around conditions are not available to you the way they are to other advertisers. HIPAA limits what you can send back into the ad platform. Both constraints shape how these accounts get built.
Each practice type below has a dedicated PPC advertising agency page covering Google Ads, Meta Ads, and the tracking setup that keeps patient data where it belongs.
Medical and Healthcare PPC Advertising
If you run more than one office, our guide to Google Ads for multi-location medical practices covers provider-level campaign structure, payer messaging, and what you can and cannot send into the ad platform.
4Law Firms and Attorneys
Legal keywords are among the most expensive in Google Ads, which means wasted spend compounds quickly. We build tightly controlled campaigns with aggressive negative keyword lists and call tracking so budget goes toward the cases you actually want to take rather than the ones you have to turn away.
Legal PPC Advertising
Our post on PPC management for law firms covers the account structure, and DUI attorney paid advertising strategy goes deeper on the highest-urgency practice area.
5Ecommerce and B2B
These two sit at opposite ends of the sales cycle and they need almost nothing in common. Ecommerce measures return on ad spend within days. B2B measures pipeline over months. Running either one on the other's playbook is one of the more expensive mistakes in paid media.
Ecommerce and B2B PPC Advertising
For ecommerce, our guide to structuring Shopping campaigns for retailers covers feed setup. For B2B, our post on B2B lead generation covers pipeline tracking.
6What Actually Changes Between Industries
The platform is the same for everybody. What changes is the channel mix, the conversion definition, and how long you wait before judging results. This is the part most agencies flatten into one process.
| Industry | Primary channel | Main conversion | Decision window |
|---|---|---|---|
| Home services and trades | Google Ads + Local Services Ads | Phone call over 60 seconds | Minutes |
| Urgent care and walk-in medical | Google Ads + Local Services Ads | Call or direction request | Minutes |
| Specialty medical and surgical | Google Ads | Appointment request | Days to weeks |
| Elective and cosmetic | Meta Ads + Google Ads | Consultation booking | Weeks |
| Legal | Google Ads + Local Services Ads | Qualified case call | Hours to weeks |
| Ecommerce | Performance Max + Meta Ads | Purchase with revenue value | Days |
| B2B | Google Ads Search | Qualified pipeline, not form fill | Months |
The decision window column is the one that catches people out. Judging a B2B campaign after 30 days tells you almost nothing, and judging a plumbing campaign after 30 days tells you almost everything. Same platform, completely different reporting cadence.
7Which Channel Fits Your Industry
If you are not sure where to start, work through this in order.
- Do people search for what you sell by name? If somebody types "emergency plumber near me" or "orthopedic surgeon [city]," Google Ads Search is your first channel and everything else is secondary.
- Are you eligible for Local Services Ads? If you are a home service business or an attorney, LSAs sit above every other result and you pay per lead rather than per click. Check eligibility before you spend anything on Search.
- Does your customer need to discover the service exists? Med spa treatments, cosmetic procedures, and most consumer products fall here. Meta Ads create the demand and Google captures it later.
- Do you have a product feed? If yes, Performance Max with Shopping is where most of your budget belongs.
- Is your sales cycle longer than a month? Then your conversion tracking has to reach into your CRM before any of this works, because form fills will lead you to the wrong answer.
We also publish a full Google Ads guide, a PPC advertising guide, and free tools including a Google Ads budget calculator and a Google Ads performance checker if you want to work through this yourself first.
Not Sure Which Channels Your Industry Needs?
We audit paid accounts across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and Local Services Ads, and tell you which channels are worth your budget and which are not. Most accounts we review have at least one channel running that should be switched off and one that should be switched on. Management starts at $500 per month with no long-term contracts.

PPC advertising is not one strategy applied to different logos. Home services and trades win on Google Ads and Local Services Ads with call tracking and fast response times. Medical practices split between urgent demand and considered demand, and they operate under healthcare ad restrictions that shape the whole account. Law firms need aggressive negative keyword control because the clicks are expensive. Ecommerce runs on product feeds and value-based bidding. B2B needs tracking that reaches into the CRM before any of the numbers mean anything.
We manage Google Ads, Meta Ads, and Local Services Ads across all of them. Every industry linked on this page has a dedicated page covering the channel mix, the campaign structure, and the conversion actions that matter for that specific business type.
If your industry is not listed, we very likely still work with it. Complete the form at the top of this page and tell us what you do. You can also see our Google Ads management services, Meta Ads management services, and service areas. Management starts at $500 per month with no long-term contracts.
