When you first start a website, you want to do keyword research for your niche. You should come up with a list of at least 100 keywords to start with. Then, you can create content for those keywords by writing blog posts like this one, creating videos like the one above, creating podcasts, or creating image content to help inform and educate your audience.
Over the long-term, the best thing you can do for your search engine optimization is to create content. And the more your content can target popular keywords, the more organic traffic you will drive. You should focus first and foremost on creating new content. The best way to improve rankings and search engine traffic is by creating new pages of high-quality content for the topics you cover.
If you’ve already done your keyword research and created content, you want to make sure it is up-to-date as well. Even if you create what’s called ‘Evergreen’ content, you still want to keep it updated. You can also repurpose your blog posts by creating videos, social content, and infographics.

If I can analyze conversion data from 1,000 websites and publish my findings, website owners are going to be more likely to link back to it.
